Poetic Cases: Nexus 6 Revolution

The Nexus 6 is a large device, and can easily slip out of your hand. Thus the need to consider protection of some sort. Recently I received the Poetic Nexus 6 Revolution case to test out.
This case is constructed of two layers, one layer of TPU material and the other poly-carbonate to provide some level of shock absorbency for those moments when you do drop the phone. The TPU layer has a water-resistant screen protector built in, thus negating the need to purchase and install an additional screen protector.

Installation was very simple, just place the phone inside the poly-carbonate layer and then insert the TPU layer to lock it all in place. You must be very careful to not get dust or fingerprints on the inside of the screen protector, which I found to be very dificult. I would even suggest wearing gloves when installing to prevent the possibility of fingerprints.

The buttons are clearly identified on the side as power, volume up and volume down. Both ports (charging and headphone) have a cover to protect from splashes and dust. Initially I thought they would be difficult to allow access to the ports, but I quickly realized that was not the case.

The design of the back gives a fun, yet professional look to the phone. My biggest concern with this case was the added bulk it gave to an already large device. The phone was already a tight fit in pants pockets and this made it just slightly tighter.

Besides the added bulk, the one negative I found with this case was the difficulty of removal. I had a very hard time removing it without using some sort of tool to pry it off.

Overall, for the price, this is a very good case that provides a great deal of protection. If you are not overly concerned about the added bulk, I would recommend this case.

Note, I was provided with this product free for the purpose of providing my honest opinion.
